Today, I’d like to introduce “Osaka Castle,” a symbol that Osaka is proud to show the world and a stage for numerous historical events. Not only can you feel the grand historical romance, but it’s also a fantastic photogenic spot where you can take many wonderful pictures! 40 mins from Shiosaka.

大阪城の歴史 (The History of Osaka Castle)
大阪城の歴史は、1583年に豊臣秀吉によって築城が開始されたことに始まります。当時、日本最大級の規模を誇り、彼の権力の象徴でもありました。しかし、豊臣氏が滅亡した後、徳川幕府によって再建され、その後も落雷による焼失や第二次世界大戦による被害など、幾度となく困難に見舞われました。
現在の天守閣は1931年に市民の寄付によって復興されたもので、鉄骨鉄筋コンクリート造りです。内部は歴史博物館となっており、豊臣秀吉や大阪城に関する貴重な資料が展示されています。公式HP
The history of Osaka Castle began in 1583 when Toyotomi Hideyoshi started its construction. At the time, it boasted one of the largest scales in Japan and was a symbol of his power. However, after the fall of the Toyotomi clan, it was rebuilt by the Tokugawa Shogunate. Since then, it has faced numerous hardships, including destruction by lightning and damage during World War II.

The contrast with the green trees is vivid, and its majestic appearance is simply breathtaking. The angle looking up from below further emphasizes the size and power of the castle tower. The surrounding trees seem to gently envelop the castle as if protecting it.

“Osaka Castle Park,” which surrounds the Osaka Castle tower, is beloved by many as an urban oasis. Within its vast grounds, flowers bloom throughout the seasons, with the cherry blossoms and plum grove in spring being particularly spectacular.
園内には、
- 大阪城ホール (Osaka-jo Hall): コンサートやイベントが開催されるアリーナ。
- 修道館 (Shudokan): 剣道やなぎなたなどの武道場。日本の武道に触れることができるかもしれません。
- 太陽の広場 (Taiyo-no-hiroba Square): ピクニックや休憩に最適な広場。
